3.1 (Turbo) coming soon


Coming next month is version 3.1, which is dropping three really big changes:

  1. Sprinting! Keep running as uninterrupted as possible and you'll build up more and more speed. You'll know the sprinting has really kicked in when you start kicking in dust clouds. You also run 0.25px faster on top of this, so overall, game is much faster paced and has a higher skill ceiling now. Somehow, this didn't actually break anything, and every level just plays better with it.
  2. Turbo! This is a new game mode that can be selected. You'll move much faster (4.25px vs normal's 3.25px), so you can do some crazy leaps and skips. On the other hand, any form of health is replaced by a 30 second timer that drains increasingly more every time you get hit, and kills you if it hits 0. Keep your time up by grabbing things and killing enemies. Checkpoints and trophies give you 10 seconds, so I'd advise you go out of your way to find them. If you're wondering why this update has been taking so long, I need to rebalance every level around turbo, but I'm ok with this cause all the nerfs I've done have been fair and sensible...and in a few cases kind of necessary!
  3. This one is more of a QOL thing, but Uncle Swordsman's walkie talkies work differently now. You no longer have to jump into them and they no longer take up the entire screen with a message that freezes the game. Just walk into them and they display a message above or below them. This shouldn't kill the flow anymore like they used to.
